Principal Verification Engineer - Pipelines - Aberdeen

Reporting to the Operations/Technical Manager North Sea Operations this key role will have the following primary responsibilities:- manage and report on pipeline group manning, costs and progress as well as managing the client interface for design and project appraisal/verification. Develop a strong level of technical excellence and correctness and ensure this is maintained. Oversee all engineering appraisal and verification works and ensure these are carried out with diligence and accuracy with the ability to identify and correctly apply regulations, codes and standards applicable to the oil and gas industry. Identify the requirement for obtaining new and/or updated standards, codes and regulations and ensure the library is upto date with the ability to deliver strong technical solutions to clients. Supervise manning and workload levels within the team as well as supervison of, and supporting engineers technical delivery to clients. Supervision of sub contract staff. Recommending and providing training as and when required. Assisting other engineers and departments with contracts and projects. Carry out inspections,witness and acceptance yesting of equipment and systems as required.

The successful applicant will be degree educated or equivalent in a relevant discipline, Chartered Engineer or working towards that status desirable. Minimum of 5 years experience in the oil and gas or similar related industry. Strong team player with the ability to communicate at all levels. A proven self starter who will have autonmy in decision making.

Senior Verification Engineer - Level 4 - TBA

This challenging role will ensure asset regulatory compliance using PFEER and DCR examinations both on and offshore as defined in the platform verification scheme. You will be responsible for preparing workscopes, progress tracking and reporting, attending progress meetings invoicing and project control as required. Other areas of responsibility will include development and implementation of verification schemes/written schemes of examination covering existing and new insatllations. Preparation of tender documents, bids and proposals. Assisting fellow engineers on their projects and contracts. Keeping abreast of of new developments and informing personnel on new and current legislationas well as technical advice. Identifying new work opportunities and following up leads on additional work will also be expected.

The successful applicant will be a strong team player with the ability to communicate at all levels. They will have a strong and methodical approach with the ability to lead/participate in client technical meetings and have autonmy in decision making. HNC/HND/Degree in Mechcanical or Electrical Engineering and minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.

Mechanical Engineer - Aberdeen

Based in Aberdeen this full time roll will involve the design appraisal/verification of subsea/process project work. The main duties of which will be design review, project management, customer liaison and financial control/monitoring of projects. You will be required to manage and control projects to bring them in on time and within budget. You will be a team player with good communication skills who can communicate at all levels with a through understanding of the oil and gas industry. You will be strong on ethics and integrity with the ability to acquire new skills and also be willing to share knowledge. You will deliver consistent, first class technical solutions under acceptable commercial terms for our client.

You will be an Incorporated Engineer with HNC (Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Metallurgy) or equivalent e.g. City & Guilds. You will have an in depth knowledge in a relevant technical discipline with at least 2 years experinece along with a general knowledge and understanding of design review requirements.
